On July 29, 2016 at 10:08 p.m., Hampton Township officers were dispatched to Wildwood Sample Road for a single vehicle accident involving a utility pole. Upon the officers' arrival, the operator showed signs of impairment and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. The operator was subsequently placed under arrest for DUI. Duquense Light responded to the scene, as the utility pole had snapped in half due to the impact.
