On August 12, 2016 at 9:45 p.m., Hampton Township Police responded to Route 8, near Eat N Park, for a two vehicle accident. The accident occurred when one operator attempted to make a left into a parking lot, and collided with another oncoming vehicle that was not seen by the other driver, as the vehicle headlights were not turned on. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene, and one involved operator was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
