On November 18, 2016 at 5:36 p.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to the area of Duncan Avenue and Route 8 for a two vehicle accident. The accident occurred when one vehicle was rear-ended by the other. After the responding officers made contact with both operators, the operator of one of the vehicles showed signs of impairment. The operator performed field sobriety tests, and was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI. One of the vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
