On February 21, 2017 at 7:00 p.m., Hampton Township officers responded to Saddle Drive for a report of an erratic driver who had driven onto a resident's lawn, causing damage to the property. The reporting party stated that the operator fled the scene. The caller was able to provide a vehicle description and a valid registration plate for the involved vehicle. An officer located the vehicle a short time later and made contact with the driver, who showed obvious signs of impairment. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for DUI.
