On October 31 at 2:20 AM, Police observed a vehicle on Route 8 traveling at a speed of 65 MPH in a 40 MPH zone from the area of Clearview Road to Murray Avenue. The vehicle was unable to maintain a lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted at the Hampton/Shaler line and the driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or a controlled substance.
