On April 18, 2017 Hampton Township officers responded to Wildwood Road Extension for a vehicle accident involving a bicycle. The operator of the bicycle was traveling on the shoulder of the roadway when traffic stopped to allow a vehicle to pull into a driveway. The vehicle and bicycle collided, causing injury to the bicyclist. The bicyclist was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
