While on patrol on Route 8, on April 21, 2017 at 1:06 a.m., a Hampton Township officer conducted a welfare check on an individual who was sleeping in their vehicle in a business parking lot after hours of operation. Upon making contact with the individual, the officer detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Upon further investigation, the occupant was found to be in possession of drugs and paraphernalia.
