On April 27, 2017 at 3:45 p.m., Hampton Township officers responded to Route 8, in front of KFC, for a two vehicle accident with no reported injuries. Upon arrival, the vehicles had been able to move off the roadway and into a parking lot. The accident occurred when a third, uninvolved vehicle, pulled out of a business lot into oncoming traffic. One involved unit stopped quickly enough to avoid colliding with the vehicle, but was then rear ended by a third vehicle. One vehicle sustained heavy damage and had to be towed from the scene.
