On June 11, 2017 at 6:30 p.m., Hampton Township officers were dispatched to Middle Road, at East Hardies Road, for a single vehicle accident. Upon arrival, the responding officer located the operator of the vehicle already being attended to by Hampton EMS. The operator had sustained injuries from the impact of the crash. The involved vehicle, which had struck a telephone pole, had to be towed from the scene. The operator showed visible signs of impairment, and was asked to perform field sobriety tests. The operator was unable to complete the field sobriety tests and was subsequently placed under arrest for DUI.
