The Township's sealcoating (tar and chip) program is set to begin on Monday, August 21st, weather permitting. Roads to be sealcoated include Wyland Avenue and Montour Road.
The sealcoating process involves the application of hot asphalt and then stone chips rolled into the asphalt. Once this process is completed, the contractor will come back within seven days to sweep up the exceed stones. It is advisable to avoid driving on these roads while the sealcoating process is occurring (signs will be posted). However, if this is not possible, caution should be used while driving on the new surface.
