On September 24, 2017 at 7:25 a.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to an apartment building on Route 8 for a suspicious incident. The reporting party advised that a male had knocked on their door and upon answering the male stated that he needed some sugar and coffee or "bad stuff would happen". As the male stated this, he reportedly reached into his back waistband area. The reporting party locked their door and called 911. Upon the officer's arrival, they located the male in a nearby apartment. The male was found to be suffering from a psychological issue and was transported to the hospital.
