[ARCHIVED] Hampton Council October Meeting Actions

Happy Halloween

Hampton Township Council held their Regular Meeting on October 25th; actions from the meeting included, but not limited to:


- Was presented with the Preliminary 2018 General Operations and Capital Improvement Budgets.

- Enacted Ordinance No. 798 amending the General Employees's Pension Plan (to comply with changes recently approved as part of the Teamsters Local 205 collective bargaining agreement ).

- Enacted Ordinance No. 799 establishing a volunteer service credit program for volunteer fire department members (PA Act 172 mandates that the Township consider service credits for volunteer firefighters; which will be credited against their earned income tax).

- Adopted Resolution No. 965 establishing annual criteria under the volunteer fire department service credit program to claim local tax credits.

- Authorized the advertisement of a public hearing regarding the proposed 2018 Township Budget for Wednesday, December 13, 2017.

- Authorized the advertisement of the 2018 Tax Millage, Township Budget, and Capital Improvement Budget ordinances for consideration at their December 13, 2017 meeting.

- Approved a dog services contract with Hoffman Boarding Kennels.

- Approved winter/spring hours of operation for the Community Center.

- Authorized the advertisement for bids regarding sludge disposal services at the Wastewater Pollution Control Plant.

- Adopted Resolution No. 966 taking over the Woodwind Plan of Lots Phase 2 sanitary system.

- Adopted Resolution No. 967 taking over the Hampton Place sanitary system.

- Authorized the advertisement of an ordinance regarding the requested takeover of the McCaslin Ridge development.

- Adopted Resolution No. 968 related to the property donation on Bryant Road (Lot & Block No. 829-D-126).

- Adopted Resolution No. 969 related to the property donation on Duncan Avenue (Lot & Block No. 719-N-192).

- Adopted Resolution No. 970 related to the property donation on Harts Run Road (Lot & Block No. 831-N-180).
