On October 28, 2017 at 6:38 p.m., Hampton Township officers were dispatched to the parking lot of Eat N' Park for a two vehicle accident. The caller, one of the involved operators, stated that the other driver appeared to be intoxicated. Upon the officers arrival, they spoke to both operators. The accident occurred when one vehicle was attempting to turn into the parking lot of Eat N' Park from Route 8 and was rear ended. The other driver showed visible signs of impairment at the time the officer was speaking with them. The officer also detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on the operator's breath. The operator was asked to perform a series of field sobriety tests and was unable to complete them as had been explained and demonstrated.
