On November 7, 2014 at 3:00pm a Hampton Township resident reported a phone scam. The caller stated that they received a phone call from a male with a foreign accent claiming to be from the IRS. The male stated that they owed money for taxes and that if it was not paid that they would be arrested. The caller was advised that this is a scam and to never provide information over the phone or online. The caller was advised to also file a report with the IRS and stopthefraud.gov.
