On January 8, 2018 at 2:33 a.m., Hampton Township officers responded to Route 8 for a single vehicle rollover accident involving possible entrapment. Upon the officers' arrival, the operator of the vehicle was found to be out of the vehicle and complained of minor injury. The accident occurred when the operator swerved to avoid striking a deer, which caused the vehicle to strike a curb and roll over. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
