On January 21, 2018 at 12:31 p.m., a Hampton Township officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Route 8 after clocking the vehicle at 80 MPH in a 40 MPH speed zone. Upon making contact with the operator, the officer immediately detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The vehicle occupants were found to be in possession of open containers, drugs, and paraphernalia.
