On February 27, 2018 Hampton Township officers responded to 4284 Route 8 for a single vehicle accident. Upon arrival, the operator of the involved vehicle stated that they were traveling south on Route 8 when they hit a patch of black ice , which caused them to lose control of their vehicle and strike a utility pole. The operator complained of injury and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
