On May 13, 2018 at 12:49 a.m., Hampton Township Officers responded to a residence on Mount Royal Boulevard for a possible burglary in progress. Upon arrival, the responding officers were advised that the homeowner's children had heard what sounded like footsteps within the home followed by the family dog incessantly barking. While officers cleared the residence, they located the family dog in a closet, with an empty "flaming hot Cheetos" bag stuck on the dog's head. The officers did not locate anyone within the residence, and concluded that the strange sounds were likely all resulting from the family dog's plight.
