On June 15, 2018 at 9:33 p.m., a Hampton Township officer observed a motorcycle approaching the intersection of Ferguson Road and Mount Royal Boulevard. As the motorcycle was coming to a stop at the stop sign, the operator almost dumped the bike. The operator remained at the stop sign for a few moments to get the motorcycle balanced. Once the operator continued, the officer observed the motorcycle to be driving in excess of the posted speed limit, and traveled over the double yellow line. Upon initiating a traffic stop on Mount Royal Boulevard, the operator was observed to be unsteady on his feet while walking around the motorcycle. The officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the operator's breath while they were speaking. The operator was unable to complete field sobriety tests as had been explained and demonstrated and was arrested for suspicion of DUI.
