On July 2, 2018 at 5:05 p.m., Hampton Township officers responded to Route 8, at McCully Road, for a two vehicle accident involving a vehicle rollover. Upon arrival, one vehicle was observed to be resting on it's roof in the southbound curb lane of Route 8. The operator had already climbed out of the vehicle. The other vehicle was found to be blocking the passing lane of the southbound lanes. One operator complained of head and neck pain and was taken by ambulance to the hospital for further evaluation. The accident occurred when the operator of one vehicle failed to see the other vehicle stopping ahead, which was slowing down for a vehicle stopped and waiting to turn left off of Route 8. The vehicle struck the other car from behind, veered to the right and struck the curb, which flipped the car onto it's roof. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to extensive damage.
