On July 6, 2018 at 9:06 a.m., Hampton Township officers responded to Route 8, at Grandview Drive, for a two vehicle accident with reported entrapment. Upon arrival, officers located two vehicles in the northbound passing lane of travel. Both vehicles sustained major damage and both were towed from the scene. The operator of one vehicle had a visible broken ankle and complained of neck and back pain. One operator was traveling north on Route 8 in the curb lane when another vehicle exited Grandview Drive directly in front of her vehicle, resulting in the crash. One operator was taken by ambulance to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
