On August 17, 2018 at 8:57 p.m., a Hampton Township officer observed a vehicle nearly strike a guide rail while traveling on Route 8. The officer then observed the vehicle to weave out of it's lane of travel multiple times. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle on Route 8. Upon speaking to the driver, the officer advised the operator of the reason for the traffic stop. The operator was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which were not completed as had been instructed and demonstrated and she was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. The operator was also found to be in possession of drugs and paraphernalia.
