On October1, 2018 at 1:52 p.m., Hampton Township officers responded to Route 8 for a two vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the vehicle operators who did not report any injuries. The accident occurred when the operator of one vehicle attempted to exit a parking lot, crossed over three lanes of travel and tried to merge into the curb lane. While doing so, the merging vehicle struck another vehicle traveling in the curb lane that they did not see. Both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.
