On October 06, 2018 at 12:13 p.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to Route 8 at Wildwood Road for a two vehicle accident. Upon the officers arrival, they located both vehicles in the intersection, blocking the southbound travel lanes of Route 8. The vehicle occupants did not report any injuries at the time of the crash. The accident occurred when the operator of one vehicle was traveling east on Wildwood Road and attempted to make a left turn onto Route 8. The other vehicle operator was traveling west on Wildwood Road Extension, and wanted to cross over Route 8 to continue on Wildwood Road when his vehicle was struck. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to extensive damage.
