On October 23, 2018 at 10:52 a.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to East Hardies Road for a single vehicle rollover accident. Upon the officer's arrival, the operator was still sitting in the vehicle, and appeared to be confused, with slurred speech. The officer also detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating fro the operator's person. The accident appeared to have occurred when the involved vehicle was negotiating a bend in the roadway. It traveled off of the roadway while trying to negotiate a bend and struck a tree stump, which caused the vehicle to rollover. The vehicle was towed from the scene and the operator was transported to the hospital.
