- Held public hearing regarding the proposed Solar Panels Ordinance
- Held public hearing regarding the proposed Medical Marijuana Ordinance (public hearing continued to November 28, 2018)
- Adopted Resolution No. 998 accepting the Allegheny County 2015 Hazardous Mitigation Plan
- Authorized the advertisement of a special meeting for Wednesday, November 14, 2018 to consider a proposed ordinance regarding the 2018 Bone Issue ($7.25 million bond issue for sewer infrastructure upgrades)
- Approved a $2,000 stormwater management grant agreement with Allegheny County
- Authorized the advertisement of a public hearing for Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in accordance with the proposed 2019 Township Budget.
- Authorized the advertisement of the proposed 2019 Ordinances relating to Tax Millage, Township Budget, and Capital Improvement Budget
- Authorized the acceptance of an agreement, and execution of the necessary paperwork, regarding the purchase of property at 3788-3790 Mount Royal Boulevard in the amount of $175,000 for the purpose of constructing the new Glannon Pump Station
- Approved the winter/spring hours of operation for the Community Center (Sat. 8am-8pm; Mon. & Fri. 6am-9pm; Tues., Wed., Thurs 6am-10pm; Sun. 12noon-4pm)
- Authorized the use of $120,000 from the Sewer Fund Capital Budget for the purpose of a sanitary sewer lining project in the Marie, Leroy and Hamlet Drive area through Insight Pipe Company
- Windmont Farms Preliminary Planned Residential Development - discussion and public hearing continued to November 14, 2018
- Enacted Ordinance No. 813 establishing new Solar Panel regulations
- Authorized to advertise a proposed Fireworks Ordinance
- Authorized to advertise a proposed Stormwater Management Ordinance in conjunction with the North Hills Council of Governments
- Authorized to advertise a proposed Forestry Ordinance
- Referred the Sheetz Group Business Conditional Use (request is to add a restaurant use to a previously approved commercial retail use business at 5300 Route 8. Two or more businesses on one site or in one building requires conditional use approval).
- Referred the Lightbridge Academy Revised Site Plan/Subdivision (request is to subdivide and redevelop the existing Max & Erma's restaurant site located at 5150 Route 8. Improvements would include the construction of a new 12,400 s.f. two story daycare facility with an outdoor play area, and conversion of the existing restaurant structure to use as retail space as well as other site improvements)
- Discussed the following upcoming community events - Depreciation Lands Museum Lantern Tours on October 27th; Depreciation Lands Museum Fall Feast on November 2nd and 3rd; World War II History Center Exhibit currently on display at the Community Center; the Holiday Seasons Greetings Celebration w/fireworks on December 6th; and the new Wildwood Sports Complex to open on November 16th
