On January 30, 2019, at 10:09 p.m., a Hampton Township Police Officer was on patrol when they came across a water main break on Route 8, near West Hardies Road. The water main break was causing icy road conditions due to frigid temperatures. Hampton Township Water Authority was notified and responded to the scene, as well as Hampton Township DPW to treat the icy road conditions.
