Recently, PennDOT installed and implemented "adaptive" traffic lights. This system is now live and traffic patterns will change.
Please use caution and pay attention as the traffic cycles will change and are based off of current demand.
This system is designed to monitor traffic conditions and adjust as needed while keeping Rt 8 moving without providing green lights to side streets if there are no vehicles waiting.
