On May 21, 2019 at 1:33 p.m., Hampton Township Police responded to Route 8, at Craighead Road, for a two vehicle accident. Upon arrival, officers spoke to both operators and verified that there were no injuries as a result of the collision. The accident occurred when one vehicle operator attempted to merge from the southbound curb lane of Route 8 into the passing lane, striking another vehicle in the process. Both vehicles only sustained minor damage and were able to be driven from the scene.
