On June 17, 2019 at 9:53 a.m., a Hampton Township officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Turner Road after observing a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the vehicle operator, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. The operator also showed visible signs of impairment. The operator was unable to complete field sobriety tests as had been explained and demonstrated and was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
