On July 11, 2019 at 10:54 hours, Hampton Township Police responded to Route 8 for flooding in the roadway. Upon the officer's arrival, they found that the roadway was flooding due to excessive rain. The rain was causing debris from a nearby hillside to wash into the roadway, causing Route 8 to become impassable due to the large amount of debris. Traffic control was provided by police until the roadway was able to be cleared.
