On August 22, 2019 at 12:44 a.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to Route 8 at Clearview Road for a single vehicle accident with possible entrapment. Upon the responding officer's arrival, they located the involved vehicle up and over a guide rail. The operator advised that they were not trapped, but felt as though their ankle was broken. Medics responded to the scene to evaluate the operator and transported the driver to the hospital. While on scene, the officer observed visible signs of impairment and the operator was subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI.
