On September 27, 2019 at 7:52 a.m., Hampton Township Police responded to the intersection of Route 8 and Duncan Avenue for a two vehicle accident. The accident occurred when one vehicle was stopped at a steady red traffic signal on Duncan Avenue. The operator was waiting to turn right to then travel south on Route 8. Another vehicle was traveling south on Route 8 in the curb lane and as the vehicle was approaching the intersection, the other vehicle operator entered Route 8 from Duncan Avenue without proper clearance and collided with the oncoming vehicle. One vehicle was towed from the scene.
