TRAFFIC ALERT - ROUTE 8 UTILITY RELOCATION AND PAVING PROJECT - MARCH 15 THRU DECEMBER 4, 2020
From Wildwood Road north to Route 910 in Richland
Beginning Sunday evening, March 15th, for approximately two weeks, Peoples Natural Gas will be replacing a gas line in the northbound lane between Talley Cavey and South Pioneer Roads in Hampton Township. This work is scheduled tol be performed on Sunday evenings 8 pm to 6 am and Monday through Thursday 6 pm to 6 am.
Beginning Monday, March 23rd, PennDOT has contracted with Derry Construction Company to improve a section of Route 8, starting south of Wildwood Road and ending just north of the intersection of Northtowne Square in Richland Township. This project includes drainage repairs, bituminous milling and paving, as well as other miscellaneous construction. Tentative completion date is December 4th. DAILY LANE CLOSURES WILL BE IMPLEMENTED TO PERFORM THIS WORK FROM 9 AM TO 2 PM MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, AND 6 PM TO 6 AM. PLEASE EXPECT TO INCUR LANE RESTRICTIONS AND MINOR DELAYS DURING COMPLETION OF THIS PROJECT.
