On March 5, 2020 at 5:58 p.m., Hampton Township Police took a report from a resident on Greenfield Road who wanted to report an attempted fraud. The reporting party stated that she received a phone call from an individual claiming to be her grandson. The individual claimed that they had been arrested and were in jail and needed bail money. The caller requested that she send $7,200.00, but the resident realized that the call was a scam and did not send any money.
