On June 20, 2020 at 3:38 p.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to the area of Route 8 and Wildwood Road for a report of a vehicle accident. Upon arrival, the officers located two heavily damaged vehicles blocking the right curb lane of Route 8. The accident occurred when the operator of one vehicle, which was traveling south on Route 8, went through a steady red signal, striking another vehicle traveling east on Wildwood Road. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
