On August 12, 2020 at 12:51 p.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to Route 8 for a two vehicle accident. Upon their arrival, both vehicles were found to be blocking the roadway. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and had to be towed from the scene. The accident occurred when a vehicle was attempting to drive out of a parking lot to travel south on Route 8. The driver had been waved out by another driver, and upon entering the roadway, they failed to observe an oncoming vehicle, resulting in the collision.
