On November 6, 2020 at 4:19 p.m., a Hampton Township officer initiated a traffic stop on Route 8 after observing a speeding violation and a moving violation. Upon making contact with the vehicle operator, the odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected emanating from the vehicle. The operator was unable to complete field sobriety tests as had been instructed and demonstrated and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
