On November 18, 2020 at 6:20 p.m., a resident from Apple Ridge Drive contacted Hampton Township Police Department to report a phone scam. A male caller pretended to be the resident's son and stated that he needed money to get out of jail. The resident was aware that this was a common scam and simply wanted to notify police.
