On December 4, 2020 at 12:56 p.m., Hampton Township Police were dispatched to the intersection of Middle Road and East Hardies Road for a two vehicle accident. The accident was said to have occurred when one vehicle was attempting to turn left from Middle Road onto East Hardies Road. Another vehicle was traveling on East Hardies Road, approaching the intersection, when the vehicle that was turning left cut the turn too short and the two vehicles collided. One driver showed visible signs of impairment and was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
