On December 30, 2020 at 4:31 p.m., Hampton Township Police responded to West Hardies Road for a single vehicle accident that initially was said to involve a mailbox. Upon the arrival of the responding officers, they located a vehicle into the front yard of a residence. The vehicle had struck a gas meter, shearing the stem, which resulted in a gas leak. The vehicle also struck a sewer pipe in the front yard, which flattened one tire on the vehicle. People's Gas responded to the scene to fix the gas break. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
