On January 28, 2021 at 5:13 p.m., Hampton Township Police received a report from a resident on Henrich Farm Lane regarding a phone scam. The reporting party advised that they had received a phone call from a male with a foreign accent. The unknown caller advised them that he was a Hampton Township Police officer. The male stated that there was a warrant for their arrest. The resident hung up on the male and contacted Hampton Township Police Department and verified that there was no arrest warrant in existence. This is a common phone scam that is utilized by scammers to try and obtain money.
