On March 5, 2021 at 3:32 a.m., Hampton Township Police responded to Wildwood Road for a single vehicle accident involving a utility pole. Upon the responding officer's arrival, they located a vehicle that had collided with a utility pole, which had completely sheared the pole in half. The pole was found to be hanging by the utility wires. Duquesne Light Company was requested to respond to the scene. The operator of the vehicle stated that they had fallen asleep at the wheel, resulting in the collision. The operator was transported to the hospital and the vehicle was towed.
