March Council Mtg Actions rev

Hampton Township Council held their Regular Meeting on Wednesday, March 24th; actions from the meeting included:

  • Tabled the discussion, and possible action, regarding a request for a coal tar sealant ban in the Township to the April agenda meeting
  • Renewed the real estate billing and collection agreement with Jordan Tax Service for the years 2022 thru 2025
  • Renewed the five-year leases for the Community Service Department's Caterpillar Wheel Loader, Compact Truck Loader, and Hydraulic Excavator
  • Authorized the pursuit of the following purchases and/or projects as part of the Capital Improvement Fund Budget:
    • Purchase of a 2021 Ford F-550
    • Purchase of a 2021 Kabota tractor
    • Purchase of a Block Party Trailer (it is anticipated that this trailer will be available for use by residents/neighborhoods in May, 2021)
    • Replacement of the salt storage building roof and exterior wall covering
    • Repairs to the pavilions (siding and facia board, electrical, LED lighting, receptacles and staining)
  • Authorized a change in the Community Center and Open Gym operating hours beginning April 11th (new hours are Monday and Friday, 6 am to 9 pm; Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 6 am to 10 pm; Saturday, 8 am to 6 pm; and Sunday, 11 am to 5 pm)
  • Adopted Resolution No. 1043 authorizing the Municipal Manager to sign PA Department of Environmental Protection joint permit information and applications regarding the Water Pollution Control Plant and MS4 projects
  • Authorized to advertise a public hearing related to the Zoning Ordinance updates for April 21, 2021 or as soon as practical thereafter.
  • Authorized to advertise a public hearing related to the Hampton High School Conditional Use application for May 12, 2021
  • Authorized to advertise a public hearing related to the Chase ATM Conditional Use application for May 12, 2021
  • Adopted Resolution No. 1044 related to a DCNR grant application for Phase 2 of the Hampton Township Community Park Trail Project
  • Discussed upcoming events, including the Litter/Clean-Up Day scheduled for March 27th, the "Socially Distant" Community Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for March 27th thru April 3rd, the Easter Bunny Community Park tour scheduled for April 3rd, and the Depreciation Land Museum season opening date of May 2nd
