On March 18, 2021 at 6:25 a.m., Hampton Township Police responded to Middle Road, at East Hardies Road, for a disabled vehicle. Upon their arrival, officers located a vehicle off of the left side of the road into a storm drain. the driver stated that they were traveling north on Middle Road and became disoriented by the bright headlights of a large truck that was approaching in the oncoming lane. This caused the driver to attempt the left turn onto East Hardies Road too early, resulting in the vehicle going off the side of the road and into the storm drain. The vehicle had to be removed from it's position by a tow truck.
