On March 29, 2021 at 1:12 a.m., a Hampton Township officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Route 8. The officer also observed the vehicle travel through a steady red light. The vehicle fled when the officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop. A short time later, the vehicle in question was located by an assisting police agency. The operator showed visible signs of impairment and the operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests. The driver was subsequently arrested.
