The Federal U.S. Treasury (IRS) and the PA Department of Revenue have extended the 2020 Tax Year Annual Filing Deadline from April 15, 2021 to May 17, 2021. Nevertheless, the PA Local Income (EIT) deadline (Act 32) was unfortunately left unchanged by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. (This filing date CANNOT be changed by Township Council.)
However, to assist resident taxpayers and to alleviate confusion, Council through Keystone Collections (Earned Income Tax Collector) has authorized the waiver of penalty and interest related to the 2020 Annual Local EIT Return, so long as the tax return is filed on or before May 17, 2021.
