On June 8, 2021 at 9:07 p.m., a Hampton Township officer observed a vehicle traveling on in the area of McNeal Road and continued on William Flinn Highway. The vehicle in question was observed to cross the white center dividing line, by a tire length, on William Flinn Highway. As a traffic stop was initiated, the vehicle struck the curb twice while attempting to pull over. Upon approaching the operator, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage as well as displaying visible signs of impairment. The driver was asked to submit to field sobriety tests, which they failed to complete as instructed. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
