On June 26, 2021 at 1:01a.m., A Hampton Township Officer was on routine patrol traveling westbound on East Elfinwild Road. The officer observed a vehicle traveling in a very erratic fashion and failing to maintain its lane of travel. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle. The officer immediately detected an odor of alcoholic beverage and observed signs of impairment. The driver was asked to submit to standardized field sobriety tests, which they failed to complete as instructed. The driver was then placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
