On September 15, 2021 at 2:22a.m., a Hampton Township Officer was on patrol in the township when they saw a vehicle in front of them crossing the double yellow lines multiple times and then swerve in its lane of travel. A traffic stop was initiated at the intersection of Cedar Ridge Road and Apple Ridge Drive. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer could detect an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the vehicle. The driver was asked to submit to Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and subsequently was placed under arrest of suspicion of DUI.
